My name is Fon Ngamvilaidee (Fon means rain in Thai).
I am a Thai national, born in the North East of Thailand (Mahasarakham). I went to school there when I was a child, but went overseas to the UK to study at Oxford University when I was 18 years of age.
I stayed in the UK for a while, but returned to my homeland when I was 25 years old.
I am now a physics teacher at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, and also enjoy teaching English to friends and family in my spare time.
The university I teach at was named in honour of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great of Sukhothai. He is credited for creating the Thai alphabet, which inspired me to set up this website and teach non-native people the Thai alphabet.
I hope you find this resource useful, and I hope you enjoy learning Thai.
